Ankita and Shab, if it’s okay with you, I would like to keep the Divisions to just two for right now, in which case, Rap and Aber would lead them.  As of right now, we do not have enough Generals or soldiers in general who registered for 8 full Brigades.  Next promo day (end of the month), I can promote two more people to General so that we can expand to 4 again if you would like.  For now you can be considered a Leader or whatever with me so we all basically command together.  Let me know what you think if you see me on chat.

Next is the practice battle everyone has been looking forward to!  Here are the details:

When: Saturday, January 17, 2009

Server: Snow Fort

Room: Snow Forts

Teams: Red vs Blue – We’re goin old school 8)

Times:

1:30 pm Pacific

2:30 pm Mountain

3:30 pm Central

4:30 pm Eastern

9:30 pm U.K.

This is how it will work.  There are two teams, Red and Blue.  Each Division will represent a color.  For this battle, Division I (Alpha, Delta, and Echo), led by Aber, will represent the Red Team.  Division II (Gamma, Kappa, and Sigma), led by Rap, will represent the Blue Team.  Please arrive at the battle in appropriate colors.  If you do not have a Division yet, names starting with A-M will be Red, and N-Z will be Blue.

Here are the uniforms.  They can be adjusted based on what clothing items you have, but you must be the color you are assigned.  Nonmembers can wear the winged viking helmet, maybe the card-jitsu belt to match your color, and pretty much whatever else you want.  Just make sure you are the color you are assigned.

In case one of the team leaders cannot make it, here is how we will work the battle leadership.  If the first leader on the list cannot make it, the second will lead, and so forth.  Once a leader has led a practice battle, they will move to the bottom of the list so the next person on the list can lead.  Make sure you know who is leading so you know who to listen to, and if you are your team’s leader, make sure they know you are in charge.

5.Senate/Consulate Information

1)  Ok, this is a reminder for all ACP. We need a lot more Practice Battles and training. Jojofishy, has kindly developed some training excercises for all of us, and I want to see how they will all work out.

Right Now, I propose a practice battle on Saturday. Yes, a full scale battle.  If this comes to pass, I will provide chats, and appropriate leaders for it. I want to see how the ACP can do, if the leaders or top commanders aren’t there. It makes little to no sense to merely sit around. I’m also talking to some other army leaders for possible practice battles between two major armies.

2) Just Something to keep in mind :

ACP is getting a ton of recruits lately. If a new recruit comes on to  http://xat.com/theacp , then please kindly do be respectful and nice to them. Sure, they might be kind of Jupa-ish but, wern’t we all when we first started? So, if they ask to join ACP, immediately say yes, and redirect them to : http://acpbootcamp.wordpress.com for training. 

3) Woot! Time to join the crowd, and have a suggestion/ complaint page. Basically you can comment on it if you have questions, ocmplaints or suggestions. If its really sensitive you can use jediacp@gmail.com which I used to use, but now doesn’t work that well.

4) Divisons! Yes, everyones been waiting for divisons, for like forever. So…….I’m going to partially ease your misery by telling you that we are working on them, and they’ll come around soon enough 😉 . My divison (ACP Airborne), will probably have a site called acp-airborne-wordpress.com, though I’m still working on mine, and hopefully the other leaders will do the same.

5) Yes, ACP stories are all the rage now-adays. (that sounded really old XD XD). As far as I know, Saint has written one, Aber has written one, Clint has written one, Fox has written one, and many others. This is a note. If you have been using the kidnapping idea without crediting it to Saint, please give her credit because it really was her idea. I’m writing a story too, but it is non cp related. It’s http://abercrombe29.wordpress.com/to-hear-silence . Its kind of a more deeper and tragic type of story, so yeah.

6) A beloved ACP soldier, Chrisdude100 has decided to retire 🙁 😥 . Aside from being our homie xD, he was a great soldier and served with distinction. Anyways, he’ll still be on chat so yay!

7) Senate Elections 

I’m going to get these done once and for all. Thus, I’ve decided to get them done by this weekend.

The Legislative Branch will now have two individual chambers. Senate aka Senate, and Consulate aka Top Senators.

I’ve decided to expand the number of senators to 8 and the number of Consulates to 4.  Basically, 12 in total.

The Senate and Consulate will basically work on issues facing the ACP. The President (moi), will be Director of Congress. 

The Senate/Consulate is allowed to make decisons about approving changes, working on improving ACP’s image, basically everything that faces us. 

I know people are into having offical court trials, so if they approve it, we can have a Supreme Court. I’m not making this overly complicated because I think that makes ACP hard to govern and really boring.

To get a bill passed, the Senate must vote 7/8 for it, and Consulate’s for 3/4 .

I really don’t see the point of parties, but some people like them, so I’ve put them here :
You can be a :

• Progressive (Democrat)
• Conservative (Republican)
• Independant
• If you are a moderate just write that (ONO).

If you want to register for Senator/Consulate : here is the form : 

1. Name
2. Rank in ACP
3. Time Served in ACP
4. Why do you think you’d be an effective ACP Senator/ Consulate
5. What will you do as an ACP Representative
6. What will be your main priorities.
7. When was ACP founded?
8. Who was the co-leader of ACP for a few days.
9. Are you in any other armies? If so, what is your loyalty to them vs. ACP?
10. Campaign Speech. I,personally think this huge form is enough, but sure go write a speech if you want.

What will happen is that everyone that is registered will be in so many polls (we’ll find out when registeration closes), and then the winnners of those polls or w/e I decide will be Senators. Out of those, whoever wins those polls will be Consulates (Top Senators).

I’ve been trying to think of some things we could do to get ACP more involved since everyone seems so bored, so I came up with a contest idea.  The winners will be given mod privileges on chat for a week.  The way the contest works is basically try to bring the most people to this site as you can.  If you have your own site, add this site to the blogroll and include links in some of your posts (YouTube channels, etc. work as well, but you may need to tell me the YouTube account or I won’t know who it is).  If you don’t have a site, try to get us on the blogroll of a larger site and let me know what that site is if you succeed.  That way I will be able to tell who is responsible for what site’s hits.  The top three sites for referrals (run by ACP soldiers, so the Nachos site doesn’t count…) will become mods for a week!  If you are already a mod or an owner, you can negotiate with me for something else 😉 .

Referrals we begin to be recorded tomorrow, 1/15 and the contest will end on 1/22.  So spread this link around! 😀

In other news, recruiting has been going great, though we have been running into problems with Rogue Nachos on Mammoth to the point where I have to purposefully split them up so the RN cannot find us.  We ran into the problem again today, and unfortunately, most of these RN are reluctant to listen to the actual Nachos…

You can see ACP, as well as Puckley, Rca, and Bammargera trying to convice the fellow Nachos that we are allies with little success (it’s not their faults it’s just the mentality of some of the n00bs…).  Many of these same RN chased us throughout the server for nearly an hour.

As you can see, there are still quite a few RN who do not accept the fact that we are allies.  This is not to say that ACP does not have this problem, but most ACP and “ACP” soldiers seem to know that we are allies either from me telling them or just word of mouth.  My reasoning for this is that since the uniform for the Nachos is in the catalogue, any one day there may be 5 new RN, as opposed to ACP, where most of the non-wordpress ACP are there every day.  Because of this, most of the ACP soldiers will say that we are allies and not attack the RN.  Part of the reason this happens is because it seems most non-wordpress ACP still know who I am even if I have not met them, they know when I say “ACP and Nachos are allies”, it is coming from an authority.  Most of the non-wordpress Nachos do not seem to know the Nachos leaders so they are less likely to listen to either Person or, in this case, Rca and Puckley.  So I would urge the Nachos to make more of a presence on Mammoth so that these RN get used to you guys being the leaders because they will listen to you about our alliance once they accept you as the leader.

In other news, I am hoping to have Divisions done by this weekend in time for another practice battle.  It will most likely be Saturday, though I have not decided on a time yet.

But, they don’t listen when they tell them that the ACP are allies. So they love him, but they rebel against him (hypocrits?…). Also, I will be making a story too, partially based on Peguin’s and who’s ever the story Journey Inside My Comuter is. Just thought you should know ;). Expect a post shortly.

January 19th, 2008:

This was my first practice battle with ACP (and I thought this was fairly high turnout for armies back then, though we had definatelyhad higher - I was such a n00b 😐 ). The good ol' Red vs. Blue. Ironically, the leaders of the teams weren't there 😐 (Fort and Texas). I felt like I was surrounded by famous people being the n00b that I was 😛 . Some people in there I really miss and others that are still with us. Me, Rap, Tiger, Nakib, and Talyor anchoring the Red team, and TomY, Jungle, Nono, Jcs, Braves, K Wadler, Ajf, Bc, Sol (long before he was noticed lol), and...TERRKING?? Why did I never notice that?? 😆 . Then obviously Oagal, and Islandersky and Head (who weren't in team uniforms for some reason 😕 ).

 Oagal’s note: Since I was judging the battle, I wasn’t on either team. As for Head and Islandershy, I guess they just couldn’t follow directions. 😆

February 7th, 2008:

This was really cool because I always thought Oagalwas awesome (and he is 😀 ). Sometime shortly after this, he added me, which was also really awesome, but being able to do some recruiting with him was cool. In the pic, you can see me, Oagal, TomY, Braves, Sgt Jor (gave me my first promo, even though you can't really do that...), and Smartuin. You can also see some Nachos, the only one of which I recognize is Rlin, and some UMA, including Jack and Chessmann. This was back when the Dojo was the place of battles every single day 🙁 . I miss the good ol' days...

 May 26, 2007: (Oagal’s stuff)

Ah, World War Three. This picture was taken directly after that victory over the UMA that we thought may never come. Being the turning-point of the largest, most intricate war CP has ever seen, this was a truly historic battle. Here you can see some ACP veterans: Lilhgc, Ryoma, Lucario, Dj, Plasma Grunt, Cikman, Mason, Dude, Plazma, Starbucks, Oagal ( 😆 ), and a few others.

Boomer’s Edit: This was essentially the video that made me want to join ACP, only the one I saw was removed for some reason 😕 .  I’m so glad to see it’s still around.

. . . And here’s the video of the Battle of Breeze, as pictured above. As you can see, Gugu Pengu — later leader of the evil GPR army — fought on our side for once. :-/ I guess he hated the UMA more than he hated us. 😆

April 14, 2007: (Oagal’s stuff)

This is the First Battle of Mammoth. Even though we lost, it was interesting to see a battle from the other guys perspective for once. XD

Wow, lots of memories. The Battle of the Igloo was our first battle ever, against the Roman army under Explorer7777. We won, the last organized Roman army was dissolved, and WWII was practically in the bag. On the ACP side you can see Koolaidman7, Gorond, David Shawn, Oagal ( 😆 ), and a few others — all of whom received the first batch of ACP Medals of Honor (or is it Medal of Honors? 😕 ). The Roman side included Explorer7777, a few others, and Akabob22. 😕 Go figure.

Shab: W00t W00t great job guys. There was no yelling or caps on chat most if not all of the time which is a HUGE improvement. I think tho that people have to stop with the “add me, add me” through-out the practice battle because idk about Boomer but my buddy list is full.

Ps: Boomer we need a member and a non-member leader’s uniform, maybe with a noticable hat, so the soldiers know who to listen to.

I would like to thank everyone who came to our little practice session today.  I believe it was a big success.  I was hoping for everyone to be literally silent, but I can’t say I expected that to work.  It was a great improvement over the tournament battles anyway.  Here is why I wanted it silent.  We need to be quiet enough for you to be able to see the commands.  Because you were quiet, we were able to charge and regroup nearly effortlessly, as well as move from room to room without losing anyone.  The only thing that could have been a bit tighter is spreading out, but we can work on that.  Overall, it was a great victory over ourselves (and our bad habits? 😕 ).

Great job everyone!  We really filled up every single room.  I loved watching the reactions of the civilians as we marched 30-40 soldiers through a room (basically a 20 second line 😆 ).

Next on the agenda is a practice session.  I am calling it a practice session as opposed to a practice battle because we will be going back to the basics.  We will be practicing charging, regrouping, and some other techniques.  There is a catch: NO TALKING

One of the things that is crucial to basic strategy is something we did poorly in the tournaments.  The battles were very chaotic with soldiers running and yelling in a disorganized fashion.  This chaos prevented the leaders from issuing commands, therefore we were even further disorganized.  With less people talking, you will be able to see my commands better.  We need to be more responsive to commands, so for this battle, the only person talking will be me.
