Hi everyone, its Jedimaster17. I’m going to be on leave from ACP, or inactive because my Grandmother (Dadi) got a stroke. 🙁 😥  

I’m pretty sure that she’ll get better, as soon as the clot goes away. She’s being given medicine for that.

Apparently now, she can’t recognize anyone, and her speech has been slurred a lot.

It’s not fair. My Grandmother has struggled so much in her life, she’s supported my dad’s entire family (9 people) when the late father of my father lost his job.  

Please pray for her. 🙁

I’m expecting to be on in a few days. That basically means I’ll get on chat a bit, but I’m not really going to be “active”.

Boomer: We are all terribly sorry to hear of this and we hope your grandmother makes a full recovery.  Take as much time as you need, you will always be welcome here.  We shall keep you and your family in our hearts and minds.

    Sorry about that, Anikta. I hope she gets well soon. But I have to warn you. People who have a stroke won’t EVER be the same again. Trust me, my grandad knows.

    I know how that feels, my grandfather got a stroke a few months ago. His speech is slurred.

    I will pray for both Ankita and her grandmother.

    Sorry about your gandmom, jedi.

    I know what its like. My grandfather(poppop as i call him) just had a stroke last year, on Christmas Eve!! 🙁 But luckly we were all there to call 911 and he is doing pretty good.

    I hope your grandmother makes a full recovery!

    About 2 years ago, my aunt had one of the most deadly strokes where the brain hemorrhages. The night she had it, the doctors were saying how she wouldn’t make it through the night, and other put estimates of 5 days to 7 days left to live. She was put in an ICU, and was regressing, when a miracle happened. She suddenly started gaining back her cognitive skills and was starting to make a recovery. She made a recovery in 6 months and a full recover around 8 months. It was a miracle, she went from close to death, but now she’s living like a normal person, you would never think she had a stroke. The great medical care she received, and her time in rehab helped her tremendously and she is basically back to normal.

    Ankita I’m sorry my grandpa died when i was 3 i couldn’t stand it i have empathy for you having some one like that becoming very ill i had a dog that died like that i loved her like a sister 😥 i can’t stand this its hard i know im praying for her hop she gets better 🙁

    I’ll be praying for both of you. I know how something like this feels. I lost my grandpa to melenoma a couple years ago, and I’d rather not talk about it.

    I am really sorry. I know how it feels. My dog he had this disease and he could of died of it. But he lived because I prayed.

    my grandma had a stroke very recently. her speech was also slurred, only the right side of her brain was attacked, so the left side of her body didnt work. half of her heart wasnt working. im sorry for your grandma! my grandma WASNT given medicine for the clot, and thats why she died. but ur grandma is getting the medicine. im sure she’ll be better soon!

    . . .Was it in the middle of the night? I absouletly KNEW something was wrong last night! I had a furious dream of getting cut and being beaten up.

    I will pray for her, Ankita. What did you think I was gonna say, “Hell no?” Of course I will!

    Err, about the she can’t reckonize you thing, have you tried making flashcards with pictures of you on it with your names? I’m just guessing here, but I’ve been in the hospital so long I might be right. ((Now is not the time to rhyme…OMG I DID IT AGAIN D=<))

    i feel bad for you. my grandma had a stroke in july of 2008. She fell and hurt her left leg. Now she has to walk with a cane. Her speech was severely affected. And she has been to therapy, and her speech has not improved that much. I hope your grandma gets better. I will pray for her.

    I will pray for her everynight for a year i am crying actully as i am, righting it i bet she is a great woman and i hope she lives on and she supported 9 people she a very good woman (i still crying)

    My grandma had a stroke too a while ago, the same side effects happened to her. I pray your grandma will recover as mine did. In case you don’t know Ankita, she may never remember anything she knows ever again, and if she does she may be very forgettful at times. I hope she gets better

    Sorry to hear that Jedi didi. My grandparents (father’s side) both died before I was born. Also my grandmother (mother’s side) died when I was a baby. So all I have left is a Grandfather who lives with my cousin 🙁 . I will pray for you.

    I cried reading your message. I am terribly sorry and i will pray for her to recover. I am terribly sorry, i know how you feel, i am terribly close to my gramma also. If theres ANYTHING i mean ANYTHING you want me to pray or do for you i will INSIST it so.

    I know how you feel. I had almost the same sadness when my great gradmother died. I hope she gets her memory back and get’s healed. Everyone tells me that amnesys are always temporary.
    I hate when these things happens with injustice.
    I really really hope that your grandmother gets better. I am sure that she will get healed and will recognize everyone in a block of an eye. Don’t worry, be happy.
