Tomtwelve’s speech (and CP updates…)

Shab wrote a post, but…It is my tradition to write a post about the tragedy that was 9/11.  Well, this is only the second time I’ve done it, but…  On September 11 2001, at 8:46 to be exact, two hijacked planes crashed into both of the WTC’s twin towers, collapsing them.  A third plane also was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon, destroying it.  And there was also a fourth plane, but the passengers of the plane heroically stopped the hijackers, and the plane crashed.  In these attacks, thousands of men, woman and children were killed.  They will not be forgotten.  Now, you, the reader, may be too young to remember this, or it’s possible you weren’t even born yet.  It is different for these people.  I remember it happening.  We were told first thing in school, which would’ve been two hours after the attack, with me being in Colorado, and in Elementary School at the time.  And at the age we were at, I wanted to belive it was an accident.  And it’s not like I knew what hijacking was.  But I remember the day.  And I imagined the scene…airplanes crashing into buildings.  I didn’t see any pictures though.  It may have not been until 5 years later when I saw the pictures, and the picture that moved me most was people running from the collapsing towers in fear. And I saw a video online, recorded right next to the towers when they were collapsing, and although you could not see the people’s who were recording it faces, their voices indicated great great great fear. This is what I don’t know about: what it was like to actually be there.  And I also don’t know what it was like to lose or nearly lose a loved one.  And then there are people who don’t remember it at all, because they were too young.  This is like how we don’t remember the bombings of Peral Harbor.  We hear about it, but we understand it not like the people who remember hearing the news of it.  And our kids won’t understand Patriot Day (the name for the holiday in honor of 9/11) like us.  Anyway, our country bravely made it through this period.  There are many who acted as heroes.  So this may be just a Club Penguin blog, but, the youth of the nation cares about stuff!!!

Ok, so there’s not a lot of Club Penguin news.  The play is a mystery. Seriously, we don’t know anything about it.  Besides the fact that it’s a mystery.  And also, the fall fair and halloween party are coming back, baby!

I wonder what they were thinking of for the last few seconds in mid air. Whoever did this should be beaten and torchered and thrown into hell for eternity

  8. i was only 2 years old. i bairly remember this tragic thing. all that i remember, was sitting in my living room, playing with my toys, when on the news, i saw replays and replays of the planes that bombed the WTC. I did not really worry about it, ’cause i was…. well, 2! but hearing stories, and hearing about the movie, and other stuff, i realise, this thing, this…..attack, happened quickley, and started the war in iraq. God bless america. and we all know that we were Blessed that we were not there. i heard some reporter on the radio today, who worked at the WTC, and was 1 of the few surviviors. the Rotten Terrorists were crazed people, and hated us. we will all remember
9/11. and we will support our troops out there. i read a book, and it was about a kid who took life for granted, until she heard about the twin towers, and millions of people dead. she then discovred: life is a gift. and we are blessed that we did not die. this girl thought that life was unfair. but she found out, we are lucky.
