Smoke and Mirrors — The Real Missing Truths New

This is a response to the post that Doritos had posted titled “The Reality & Missing Truths”.

The recent post that DCP released matches their title perfectly, as it does miss some truths. Moreover, it included a lot of screenshots that were blatantly taken out of context. This response should clear up any false doubts that they attempted to spread amongst the community through their post.

A Deep Dive into the Situation Involving Kimo

Firstly, although many people have seen Kimo’s face before, this does not give them permission to send his image around in multiple GCs. The Doritos excuse—”If multiple people have seen him before, it is okay to send his picture around”—is heavily flawed. The ACP voice chat he was using is meant to be a private space for members, and just because some of his close friends have seen his face, nobody has the right to share images of him behind his back, while also making fun of him.

Logical implying that if ACP members know how he looks like, it’s okay to send his image around- which is clearly flawed.

Kimo only revealed his face in what he believed was a Private VC in ACP. He did not consent to his face being revealed in a GC in which many people he does not even know were included . Moreover, the VC itself that he uses has a user limit, which restricts people from entering after the limit is full. Just turning on his camera in a VC he believed was private doesn’t mean he gave consent for strangers to see his face. In fact, his going on a call with three other close friends in an ACP voice chat is in no way “publicly revealing” his face.

Notably, given that a Doritos 4th-in-command was present in the group chat when it happened, and did nothing to intervene, is a shocking occurrence. It’s not unheard of to expect your own high-ranking moderator to have stepped in to stop your member from making racist remarks and doxxing. Instead, it was ignored and went unpunished.

Apryl letting the racist comment slide, with the dox following.

The claim that your THIRTY NINE staff members are unable to oversee every member is flawed and highlights the incompetence of your moderation team. A Fourth in Command didn’t even try to discourage your member from doxxing or making a racial comment.

You have enough staff to watch over your own members
Instead of Owning Up, DCP Presents Evidence of Kimo Doxxing

In an attempt to justify their actions and obfuscate the truth, the Doritos presented evidence of Kimo doxxing someone, something that had not been addressed until now— nearly half a year after it occurred. Moreover, the two situations are incomparable, as the event of Kimo doxxing someone took place in a private DM, and not in a group chat with up to ten members.

Regardless, it was still wrong, and we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that Kimo understands the seriousness of the situation and has been justly reprimanded as well as demoted. However, we would like to stress the fact that DCP weaponizing an incident that happened months ago in an attempt to deflect responsibility regarding current events in their own server is a clear sign of their lack of accountability.

This message was linked in the SS below.
Considering that Kimo understood the severity of the situation, the Higher Command of ACP took the appropriate steps, believing they were enforcing a fitting punishment.
False Accusations of Racism Against Kimo, While Their Own Members Display Racist Behavior

Kimo saying ‘Fuck no’ in response to someone’s skin tone is not inherently a racist comment. Racism involves discriminatory or prejudiced behavior based on someone’s race or ethnicity, often expressed through derogatory remarks, actions, or attitudes that dehumanize or belittle others based on their racial background. Kimo in no way intended to dehumanize or make a derogatory comment. His response wasn’t meant to be racist, as there was no intent to belittle or demean someone based on their skin tone.

Definition of racism

However, the use of “ching chong” is racist as it is a derogatory term that mocks and mimics the sound of Chinese or other East Asian languages, and it perpetuates harmful stereotypes. This term was used by their member, Jazz, who directed it at Kimo. As mentioned before, and many times at that, the staff members who were present in the GC, which includes two 4iCs- Judy and Apryl, did nothing to stop the comment.

Yet again, the Doritos blatantly attempt to deflect from their own wrongdoings by dredging up past events, using them as a smokescreen to evade accountability.

Screenshot taken from the same GC, showing that Judy was involved too.

It is hypocritical of DCP to expect us to ban Kimo when no action has been taken against their own leader, Bschar, who made a racist comment about our former leader, Ugly. Neither has any explanation or apology been given for hiring Meerkat, who doxxed numerous people and pizza-bombed houses of members of the army community. Moreover, Meerkat, who has been known to the community as a doxxer for several years has in-fact been a part of the Doritos advisory team during this very generation of DCP.

The Doritos have failed to give their troops or staff an apology or explanation as to why a known doxxer and pizza bomber was hired. Nor have they fired Brad, following the reveal of him being a doxxer and threatening other people with the doxx, as well as sending NSFW pictures to a minor.

There are many instances of DCP members committing offenses that transcend the gravity of what Kimo is being accused of, yet they remain in the server.

DCP conveniently leaves out the fact that Jazz was only temporarily banned, withholding this information to make it appear as if they’re taking action. In reality, however, they’re just protecting their image. It’s clear they’re more concerned with saving face than actually holding their members accountable for their actions.

DCP also mentioned Jazz having one rank higher than their lowest rank, which is false as Jazz had Lieutenant when the incident took place. This further proves that DCP is deliberately withholding key information to manipulate the narrative in their favor.

Jazz also had her Instagram account set to public, which directly contradicts DCP’s definition on doxxing.

Note that the Doritos are using Kimo’s Instagram being linked in his profile as justification for the non-consensual spread of his images. It is important to note that Kimo’s account is private– meaning not everyone will have access to his posts or stories until and unless he approves their friend request.

However, if we follow DCP’s definition of doxxing, then what Kimo did to Jazz wouldn’t count as doxxing, as her Instagram account is publicly accessible. Yet, DCP still claimed that Kimo doxxed Jazz. This portrays how DCP is manipulating the facts to shift blame and avoid accountability.

DCP’s Attempt to Paint Aisha as a Pedophile to Fit Their Narrative

The Doritos even went as far as including an out-of-context screenshot of DMs between Kimo (a minor), and Aisha, falsely claiming that Kimo’s innocent way of portraying his platonic affection was ACP’s way of ‘painting Aisha as a pedophile.’ In reality, the only ones framing Aisha in this way are the ones whose minds immediately jump to the conclusion that the affection is romantic, which is the real issue here.

It is disgusting and weird how your mind jumps to that conclusion when we had never attempted, or even thought of this situation in that manner.
False claims of troopstealing

DCP took a hypothetical situation and falsely painted it as troop-stealing, attempting to create a narrative that wasn’t based on reality. Kimo had asked a hypothetical question to Riri, who was a former Higher Command in ACP, and an old friend of Kimo at the time. Yet again, the Doritos are twisting the reality of the situation to fit their narrative.

Logical’s blatant attempt to troop steal Kimo

Addressing all the screenshots taken out of context

DCP took screenshots without explaining the context or what was actually being discussed, misleading others about the situation.

Excerpt from DCP post
Our moderator confused the permission to send a covered image of Kimo to admins with something else.
Note that Hanaa is 5 hours ahead of me (GMT+8) and the event the previous day was an early EU.
This was 11:48pm for Hanaa, proving that it occurred around the time admins asked for proof.

It’s completely absurd to claim that we strategically planned for our moderator to be doxxed, especially when the doxxing occurred before Kimo was even added to the GC. The screenshots provided both above and below add context that the Doritos omitted, and this serves to prove that they have been taken out of context to support their narrative.

Further proof of the Doritos attempting to take screenshots out of context.

Even if Ugly knew how Kimo looked, that has nothing to do with Jazz having consent to send his image in a GC with strangers, especially when Kimo has not allowed her to in the past, where he had asked her multiple times not to do so.

An image taken heavily out of context.
The message I was replying to.
This was the image I replied to. I clearly said that statement sarcastically, implying the image is Kimo.

As we said, the title of your post is a perfect reflection of its content- Missing Truths.

Although you have Kimo’s trust to have the pictures, it doesn’t mean you have consent to send it around.

The Decision to Export the Chat: A Closer Look

When we had decided to troll Logical, in no way did we have in mind the plan to download DCP’s staff chat then, or even when Kimo was in the process of being troop stolen. The idea only popped up when Logical said this:

He then proceeds to delete it, but confirms his intentions once again.

In no way are Doritos excused in this situation. If they knew there was the possibility of a staff chat having personal information within it, then why did Logical ask TWICE to download ours? You had knowledge of this, and you still went ahead and asked. It only became a problem once we leaked yours.

Regarding the leakage of the Doritos staff chat itself, and claims of the existence of personal information in it:

Firstly, it should be noted that nobody in the ACP HCOM read through the 10 months’ worth of chats, amounting to several thousand messages.

Secondly, the credibility of these claims of there being personal information is not fully sound, for the following two reasons:

  • The Doritos have almost forty staff members, and are constantly promoting new people to staff positions fairly easily (as was evident when they hired Kimo without a second thought). Thus, we assumed that a chat with such easy access would not contain any form of personal information. Any channel that takes less than 10 minutes of rank negotiation to gain access to should not have any form of personal information in it, as this is common internet safety knowledge. DCP staff, you may refer to our internet safety guide.
  • It took the Doritos almost two days to give us notice regarding this issue, though we should have been informed about it way earlier if it was really pressing and a true issue.

Regardless, we’d like to give the Doritos leadership the benefit of the doubt; the Army of Club Penguin HCOM apologizes to any DCP staff members who may have been affected. We have taken down the link on our post, as well as deleted every and all copies of the file we have. We urge any members of the community to follow suit and delete the files in order to respect the privacy of the Doritos staff members.

Regarding our 1v1 war:

Daniel talking here: thank you for the outdated proof, Doritos (do you even realize this was 4 months ago, even before Christmas Chaos?). And thank you Riri for leaking it, appreciated!

Doritos’ proof, for context.

But here’s OUR proof that we were going to 1v1, which is WAY more recent.

Following your constant begging in the group chat for a 1v1 war.

Closing Statements

  1. The Army of Club Penguin believes that it was unjust for the Small/Medium army community to be tangled up in the antics of ACP v. DCP. Therefore, we wish to extend the offering of land to armies affected as reparations for their losses. We know that no amount of land being returned to the community can make up for the unjust attack that the Doritos launched upon all s/m armies, however, we hope that in this way we can try to make amends. We reached out to all s/m armies of the community and will be transferring land back to those who accepted.
  2. It’s been almost 4 days, and the Doritos have yet to reply to our first post completely and take accountability for their actions. Please note we have more shocking information to be revealed, but it won’t be until the Doritos give a full proper response to the first post.
