BREAKING NEWS: CPRewritten Announces Closure

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – In the past few minutes, the staff team of Club Penguin Rewritten have added a post to CPR’s blog announcing their closure after the Noir Party. In what looks set to be one of our last CPR Cheats and News post, join us to hear the reasoning behind the decision.

Just moments ago, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator Stu posted to the CPR blog. The post, that is expected to be posted on the CPR Discord shortly, is entitled “The Future of Club Penguin Rewritten”.

Closure Time

The post suggests that Club Penguin Rewritten will close shortly after the conclusion of the Noir Party. It also suggested that they have “small plans” for a final event but no more details have been shared. With Club Penguin Rewritten shortly closed in February 2018, players got the chance to meet mascots and tip the iceberg in its final days.

Reasoning

Stu also discussed multiple reasons behind the choice. Most notably, he cited the difference in development with HTML5 following the discontinuation of Flash. He stated quote “we have repeatedly found a number of the differences between HTML and Flash development increasingly more impactful on the development process”.

Stu concluded the post by thanking the staff team that he is “grateful to have had the chance to work with” and to the community of players that he said “are the reason that Club Penguin Rewritten has remained open for this long”.
