BLIZZARD Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – With the March Madness tournament just around the corner, the Higher Command team recently welcomed two new members: FatChicken88 and Shane. But how will they handle these new responsibilities?
FatChicken88 joined the Army of Club Penguin on March 21st, 2020, nearly a year ago. After enlisting as a Private, he worked hard and climbed his way up the rankings. Nearly four odd months later he was made a moderator and showed extreme dedication to the army, working hard and doing his best to help strive for greatness. For all his hard work, Commander in Chief CSY promoted him to the rank of General.
Shane joined the Army of CP for the rank of Colonel, before swiftly ranking up to the position of Field General. He took on as many responsibilities as he could, and showed the utmost dedication to the army. This included recruiting as many as two hundred new soldiers in one week alone, establishing himself as a true role model for members and staff alike. As stated by CSY yesterday, the effort he as put in has been “truly unparalleled”:
To find out more about their promotions, the Shamrock Bulletin team reached out to them for an interview:
How did you feel when you learned about your promotion?
Shane : Hmm good question! Well right off the bat, I wanted to get out of my seat, run outside and just scream as loud as I can with excitement HAHA, but seriously I felt very excited and I had a good feeling it was coming. I didn’t really think it would happen today but hey I can’t complain! Megan was very excited for me as well, if not more!
FatChicken88 : I was honestly super shocked and surprised since I saw Shane had gotten it prior to me – so I didn’t expect a sudden second promotion. Although I don’t think I showed it as much but I’m super happy to be a part of the HiCom team.
Does it feel any different being a member of Higher Command now?
Shane : Ehh, not really. It feels the same right now to me. Maybe later on that could change, but right now I feel just the same as a moderator or member. The only difference is a few more responsibilities. However when I was a moderator, I tried to take as many responsibilities as I could, to show I’m capable of being responsible. So responsibilities doesn’t change much for me either haha. With or without being a member of the higher command, ACP means a lot to me, and I will always try and be there until the end. So no, theres no difference to me at all.
FatChicken88 : It feels almost the same as before, but still it feels like a brand new experience; however I have much higher responsibilities now and I am looking forward to taking up to all the responsibilities a Higher Command position gives me.
If you could thank three people for helping you get where you are now, who would they be?
Shane : First, I would like to thank CSY for always believing in me, being there for me when nobody else was, always encouraging me to be myself and to stay strong. If he wasn’t such a respectful, strong, and supporting leader, I wouldn’t be in this army today. Second, I would like to thank Cubby for being an amazing friend as well. During my rough times in the beginning of this year, he showed me he was willing to help whenever I needed it. He’s definitely a huge encouragement to me when it comes to recruiting as well. I know the question says three people, but the entire staff team definitely encouraged me to keep working hard! Staff fam, I love yous! Now the best for last of course, she means so much to me, she’s been there with me through all the good and bad times, and that’s Megan. Shes my real encouragement for my work, and if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t of been promoted today. Everyday she always made sure I wouldn’t give up and to continue working hard. If she wasn’t here for me, I’m sure I wouldn’t be doing this interview right now. Luckily that isn’t the case! I’ve already thanked her enough but Megan thank you so much for being the best <3.
FatChicken88 : Of course these aren’t the only people I would thank, that list would be endless. But I would thank the person who recruited and mentored me from day 1, 2ic Cubster; he was always the one who would set me higher goals, give me expectations and show me how to be the best mod I could be and eventually get HCOM. The second would be Tia/Gugspugs, she’s always been there for me no matter what, and has always been the person I’m glad to call my friend; she’s always managed to pick me up when I’m demotivated and help direct me to where I am now. And although you said three, I’d need to put two people next). Kailey and Daniel have respectively always been there to help me whenever I need, and been people I could go to for anything. They helped greatly in directing me to reaching where I am now.

It seems that both of them are fully prepared to take on the reigns of their new Higher Command duties, and are prepared to do whatever it takes to help the army. They have worked hard every step of the way and have earned this promotion. Congratulations to both of them on their promotions, and we wish them the best of luck in the future.
