Community Digest #2: The First War of 2021 Erupts

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – The Shamrock Bulletin is here to provide you with the weekly happenings from the army community, all bundled up in one concise newspaper.

Headline of the Week: Templars Declare War on Fire Warriors

The first war of 2021, and the HTML5 warfare era, has erupted following a declaration by the Templars upon enemy army the Fire Warriors. February 9th saw Templar creator and leader Xing announce the conflict, which was set to start with an Abominable battle on Thursday 11th. The reason for war was due to both to the Templars wanting to have some fun, and also because they “collectively hated everyone in the Fire Warriors”.

The first battle saw the Templars log on their force of 25 soldiers, despite the Fire Warriors not showing up. A second conflict in this ‘4th Errantry War‘, as named by Xing, is expected to take place later today as the Templars plan to raid a Fire Warrior training event. What will come of the conflict?

Back in Blue: Ice Warriors and Water Vikings Return

The past week has witnessed the return of two major armies into the community: the Ice Warriors and Water Vikings. Saturday 6th saw the Vikings return event, in which the historic army achieved 40 penguins online. They have since held several training events throughout the week and are looking to compete in their first battle very soon. The following day, Sunday 7th, the Ice Warriors held an outstanding return event in which a maximum size of 96 was noted – a fantastic start to this new generation and for an army that had previously not operated on CP Rewritten.

Alongside these returning world powers, an array of small-medium armies have held their first events this past week. The CP Natives, Post Malone Army, Royal Penguins and Coffee Beans have all participated in opening events and are looking to establish themselves as forces to be reckoned with. How will they fare in the coming weeks?

F6ixer and Elexonck Promoted to Rebel Commander

The Rebel Penguin Federation have welcomed two new leaders to the ‘Rebel Commander’ rank this week: long-serving second-in-command’s F6ixer and Elxonck. The shock announcement came from current leader Cosmo, who in his announcement stated both were “ready for a higher form of responsibility“.

This now sees the Rebels under a triumvirate leadership, with both F6ixer and Elxonck extremely excited to take up their new role in the army. F6ixer said the following after the news broke: “I’ve been here for almost two years and frankly I’ve enjoyed every minute of the journey. I’m looking forward working with Cosmo, Elex and the rest of the staff team.”

The Special Weapons and Tactics leadership also witnessed two additions as Legoman and Susej were promoted into the ‘SWAT Commander’ position. Legoman shared his excitement by stating his plans to further grow the army and his personal goal to one day become a ‘SWAT Legend’, while also declaring: “I intend to stay in SWAT for the remainder of my army career and raise it to new heights.”
