Hello ACP,
As you all know, we have implemented a system of rewards, called Medals. The system worked for a period of time but lately it has been abused and promotions were given to those who didn’t deserve them. The medals system has to be fixed as soon as possible, so I’ll provide my revision so that the Senate can take a look at it.
Revision of the Medals System
Old System:
- Troops would be awarded anywhere from 1-5 medals for attending an event
- No records were kept
- 50 medals equaled instant promotion, regardless of your rank (excluding 4ics and up)
- System relied strictly on an Owner’s memory and troop honesty
New System:
- Troops will be awarded medals according to the following guidelines:
- Type of Event
- Comment
- Self Recruiting
Type of Event
The amount of medals awarded will vary depending on the type of event.
- Unscheduled Recruiting/ Tactic Sessions: 2 medals, may vary depending on the success of the event
- Scheduled Recruiting/ Tactic / YouLead Sessions: 3 Medals
- Practice Battles/ Division Battles: 4 medals
- Invasions/ Defenses: 4 medals
- Tournaments/ Defense of Capital: 5 medals
*The amount of medals can be changed, but for the purpose of stability, try to follow these guidelines*
Duration/ Activeness
Owners or the highest ranking officer at the event must record who came late or stayed partially and/or who did not fully participate in the event. Medals will be deducted to the troops accordingly.
Comment
You will not be awarded your medals if you do not comment on the event result post. Owners will automatically input medals in case a results post is not posted. The purpose of this is to increase activity on the ACP site. We feel that the majority of the troops are not checking the site, which is part of the reason for low/unstable sizes.
Self Recruiting
Per every soldier you personally recruit, you will receive 1 medal. The new recruit must mention your name in a join comment and be seen on ACP chat in order to confirm that you actually recruited.
Who can actually use medals?
Only Members. We feel that Moderators do not need an incentive to come to events. You should know your responsibilities. Troops of rank between Private and Captain will be able to earn medals. Promotions vary for each rank.
Major: Hand-picked to become Mod
Captain: 50 Medals for Major
First Lieutenant: 47 Medals for Captain
Second Lieutenant: 45 Medals for 1st LT.
Sergeant Major: 43 Medals for 2nd LT.
Warrant Officer: 40 Medals for Sergeant Major
Staff Sergeant: 37 Medals for Warrant Officer
Sergeant: 35 Medals for Staff Sergeant
Corporal: 33 Medals for Sergeant
Lance Corporal: 30 Medals for Corporal
Private First Class: 27 Medals for Lance Corporal
Private: 25 Medals for Private First Class

We will keep a public record of medals. This will ensure that you have the correct number of medals you deserve.
Monthly Promotions?
A question comes to mind if this version of the medal system becomes implemented. Will troops of Member rank be able to receive monthly promotions or will promos come strictly on medals? We will discuss this during the senate meeting, this Saturday.

Nah, not liking the idea of medals in the first place.
I am personally against the medal system itself, but if it were to stay and it applied to these rules, I would be fine with it.

I don’t really like it. How will mods move up ranks? Being Active? Please explain how mods can get higher ranks
Medals haven’t always been a part of armies. In fact most of the time ACP didn’t use medals in the past. You must not only be active as a moderator to receive a promotion, you must also be worthy. The reason for this is so we aren’t forced to keep promoting immature soldiers to Lt Colonel, who aren’t worthy and can’t handle modship, just because they were a major who received 50 medals.
Ok thanks Rock. Most armies I find don’t use things like medals, but I guess they are the same things. Pirates have cannon balls, LT have suns, Nachos have something else etc lol. Anyway thanks again for clearing that up.
Worthy Moderators would receive monthly promotions instead of medals.

Not bad, it is reasonable, but i think mods should be able to earn medals to help them qualify for a promo at the end of the month…

Also make a new page for info on medals and the medal system, in my opinion that would be very helpful.
