It is always a sad day when someone retires. But none more so than when that person has been explicitly involved in the History of ACP. Whether that be for better or worse.
It’s not often I would write about a Nacho. But I believe that this is something that we need to do. Both out of respect, and out of admiration.
The Nacho Leader, Puckley – is in the final stages of announcing his retirement.
I would like to thank him for everything he did for ACP. You may be thinking, why on earth is Cassius thanking him? He was the Nacho Leader who defeated ACP so many times, and helped to end our 4 year long reign of supremacy after all.
On that fateful day, when we were knocked out of first position in the Top 10. This army changed. We finally realised that the position of 1st was no longer something we could take for granted. We woke up. We got to work.
I realise that on many occasions, the Nachos humiliated ACP, most recently in the war that took place early this year. However, it is my belief that we wouldn’t have faced such lenient conditions from Nachos if Puckley had not been Leader.
On a personal note – Puckley and I come from around the same generation, he’s one of the few Leaders left who remembers the Golden Age, so we shared a common bond in that. I will always remember him as ”that Nacho I liked”. It may sound trivial. But at a time where ACP-Nacho rivalry was at an all time high, it was pretty significant to me.
I’d like to wish Puck all the best in whatever he does in life. It was a pleasure to know you.
ACP salutes you.
