Greetings ACP, it has been a while. I am here to address a situation which has been of concern to many of our soldiers and leaders recently. While this will not be a particularly long post, there is still much to be said, though this is not yet the time to address it.
As you may be well aware, ACP’s Leader Kingfunks4 has been very inactive as of late. Whether due to vacation, illness, or lack of effort, it is not my place to decide, the reality is that ACP has stalled without a definitive leader in charge. One could argue that the recent decline began well before Funks became inactive. While this is entirely possible, we will give Funks the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was not a lack of skill that has caused the decline. This does not, however, diminish the fact that we need an active and highly motivated leader as soon as possible.
Shab, myself, and a number of others spent a great deal of time deliberating on how to address this situation. With the support of the soldiers behind him, and the trust of fellow leaders past and present, we are happy to announce Ekpenguin9 as the new Leader of the Army of Club Penguin.
There has been a lot of skepticism the past few days as to whether or not a coup would take place. While we would have preferred to wait until Funks returned to take any action on the matter, we have merely decided to make official what was already in place. Ek has been upgraded (if you will) from Temp Leader to Supreme Commander. It was agreed upon by over 50% of the soldiers that Ek was doing the most to improve ACP, and he has thus been placed in a better situation to do so.
As for Funks, he has not been removed, but rather demoted to Second in Command so as to allow Ek to lead more effectively in his absence. He will still have a rank whenever he returns, and look forward to his contribution as part of a team of leaders which has been expanded. This expansion does not mean that each leader has less work to do. We expect maximum effort from each and every one of you. ACP has never been satisfied with anything less than greatness, and this is certainly no time to start.
Without further ado, we intend for these to be the new leadership duties pending additional input from Ek:

2nd in Command: Kingfunks4, Icey Cold27 [NEW]
3rd in Command: Asdfghjkl888, Empoleon7667, Stew20, Buritodaily [NEW]
A special thank you goes out to Mchappy aka Icey Cold27 for offering his services to ACP once again as a 2nd in Command. Good to have you back! Additionally, Capncook has decided to leave on his own accord following his ill-fated coup announcement to CPAC.
We expect a lot from ACP, we all do. The Army of Club Penguin has a legacy which is unmatched by any army. We are accustomed to success, so it is not surprising that anything less would feel so disappointing. But I believe in this army. I believe in these leaders, and I believe in you, the soldiers. Believe in yourselves, and there is no limit to what we can do.
That’s why I’m calling you all out. Yeah you, behind the computer. New recruit, seasoned vet, retired general. What can you do for ACP? It is in times like these that legends are born. Strive for greatness. Earn your respect with dedication and loyalty unmatched by any other soldier. ACP has never backed down from a challenge, and my friends, a challenge is what we face today. This could be your time to shine. Your moment. Seize the opportunity, and show everyone what a true ACP soldier is made of.

Well, Capn asked me to come back the day he left, but since hes gone I don’t really know any of these people, dunno why I would come back any more.

IMO even though Icey is a great guy he shouldn’t get 2ic again, because Oagal made a private post shortly after mine and Ken’s retirement saying that no-one should come back as a high rank anymore so new people can get the chance instead of recurring leaders. If Icey was a temp 2ic, I’d be fine with it, just saying a heads up that it isn’t really fair but I understand that ACP would need the experience at this time.
Shab: Oagal suckup much? I don’t see Oagal doing anything to help at all so unless he does I don’t really think he has a say

Relatively bored by the fact that Boomer has yet again had to step in when the situation was resolving itself (see Ek’s post). Ek would have brought in an election but saw no need due to a massive outpouring of support for Funks.
I’d have made Icey a 3ic. Not because he can’t do the 2ic job, but because he has no ambition to be leader and you need potential leaders there. Glad to have him back.
That’s my views then. All once again hail Boomer and Shab for sorting it out. It’s just that I think there may have been much fairer ways of doing it. There was even a massive consensus who wanted an election, even if it would have yielded similar results.

Isn’t Funks on holiday? From what I remember, he made a post on August 19th stating he was going somewhere for two weeks, where he didn’t have a computer.

I totally disagree with these Leaders Ranks.
The only thing I disagree with are the 3ic spots. Why do we have Bur as 3ic? It is like saying Obama is the President of GBR. -wary- Not only is it Bur, but I think Emp in my opinion does not deserve to be 3ic. I just think you need to change the 3ic position. Everything else is good, but the 3ic spots. Thats all I have to say.
Boomer: Burr was only promoted two ranks, most people don’t seem to realize he has been in ACP for a while. We wanted a 3ic that had experience leading an army on his own, and Burr has had success with AR, so we felt he could contribute.
