Army of Club Penguin

Hai ACP,

Okay I am back again from my whole weekends thing, and sorry for not posting. Well anyways I think it is pretty obvious who we are declaring war on based on my thoughts and observations on what you guys think.

So are we going for a long war or a short war? Short wars are fun but they aren’t as intense and will not tire you out. Long wars are crazy like the one in January and February against the Light Troops and Nachos. Those ones get really serious since we aren’t exactly pwning everyone very quickly. All those three armies we might go to war with are not very big so it will not turn out to be a long war. Plus lots of armies are joining in like the Nachos and I think Ice Warriors as well so that will make victory even quicker. Okay so, let’s discuss how we shall wage our war!

Well, we can do this really quickly or really slowly depending on what you guys want. Either we do it one step at a time or aim strike at the capital and quickly invade more servers. So this is option one the slow approach. The schedules below are just a sample of how events will look like. It may change and vary depending on the situation.

1. We take their major servers one by one. First invasion will be Friday with USA/Canada, then a UK Invasion on Saturday then an All ACP Invasion the next day.
2. We then repeat  and/or go for the capital.
3. (Optional) To make the army suffer on the Top 10 or screw up their battle pictures, raid all their events and especially recruitings.

2. We then reign destruction on many of their major servers and capture them. (We will have an additional 2 invasions to capture more major servers.) The servers will become ACP servers or will be given to allies.

New, Effective Method of Recruiting

As Director of ACP Marketing and Recruiting at the University of Breeze, I would like to share with you a new, effective method of recruiting for ACP.

The other day I was outside my igloo on Breeze sculpting the most perfect ice sculpture, when a penguin waddled up to me in awe, astonishment. “Who is that magnificent piece of art depicting?” asked the amazed penguin. I proudly replied, “This is Oagalthorp, the founder of ACP.” The curious penguin began asking me many questions about ACP and CP armies. It was then I realized that this was a perfect opportunity to recruit and thus a new, effective method of recruiting for ACP was born.

Why not keep using our traditional recruiting method? Well, we can still recruit by gathering in a large group and making statements about turning green and joining ACP, but it is difficult often to motivate ACP soldiers to gather for a non-battle event. Furthermore, many bystander penguins who are our target audience have never heard of a CP army (is that even possible?!). So it’s not all about just making a good “showing” with numbers and color, but recruiting is also about educating those neophyte penguins about CP armies, who we (ACP) are, and why they should join us. An effective strategy of getting our point across to potential recruits is to create interest.

Club Penguin penguins are innately curious and it’s our natural behavior to want to watch other’s conversations. This inborn behavior is what makes reality TV shows successful. So let’s us this to our advantage in recruiting for ACP! Along with creating interest and using natural curiosity, a benefit to my recruiting method is that you only need 2 ACP members to do it.

So how do you do it? Create interest, educate, then direct (to the join page). Remember, creating interest is key. First you need to find your target audience. Five bar servers are difficult because you’ll be competing against igloo parties and they are too busy. I suggest a three bar server, in a main, populated room where other penguins gather: Town, Plaza, Snow Forts, Dock, or Beach. You and your recruiting buddy enter the room, one dressed in full ACP uniform and the other in normal, stylish clothing. The fully dressed ACP penguin begins talking using normal recruiting phrases. The civilian-looking penguin walks up to ACP penguin and begins asking questions and appearing very interested. Act as if you know nothing and ask questions about ACP to generate interest. Remember, onlookers love to watch in on other conversations.

What is ACP?

What is a CP army?
          A team of penguins that are good friends. We battle/compete against
          other CP armies like a sporting event or a performance group.
What activities does ACP do?
          ACP competes against other CP armies, we have fun game nights with
          other ACP members and armies, we share ideas, we play on CP together.
Is it fun?
          Yes, ACP is lots of fun! ACP takes your CP experience to the highest
          level of fun.
Will I make friends?
          Yes, lots of friends, lots of fun! Instant friends and family and total
          acceptance of all.


Civilian-looking penguin walk over to other penguins and comment, “This ACP sounds cool! I want to join!” (never underestimate the power of suggestion)

How do I join ACP?

          Join ACP and be active!

Announce in the room repeatedly our next event and invite them to join. Actions speak louder than words, if they see us they will join.
Hook, line, and sinker!

I have tested this method of recruiting and it is extremely effective (and fun!) using our basic needs and innate behaviors. Any other suggestions for recruiting can be posted here or submitted to Kenneth or Flipper.
