Heylo ACP!
Hey guys. Recently there have been some.. rumours going around, and this post is mainly to kinda’ inform you guys about what’s been happening and what to do.
1. ACPTR
As former leader, Matre10, pointed out earlier, ACPTR (The bootcamp for ACP Soldiers) has been hacked. There are many leads on who did this, but they all seem to contradict each other and we still haven’t found the main suspect.
The ACPTR leaders have contacted me and told me about this happening, we do know, and we are trying to fix it.
Meanwhile, do not go to the ACPTR site, as it is currently being re-furbished and updated as a new site for you guys to go to. However, don’t fear! There are many ways to get quicker promotions, and attending Unscheduled Events is once of them…
2. Unscheduled Events
You may remember ‘UnSchedR’ that I started a few weeks back, and we had amazing results to take us to First and overpowering the Ice Warriors in the CPAC’s top 10 following the loss at the Legend’s Cup, we started reaching sizes of over 40 unscheduled!
This time, Ken re-started it to get us back on top for the summer, and we have been getting some good results. But I know we can do better! All you have to do is stay on chat for a while, keeping yourself active, and waiting for a leader to come on and command you online.
But, I must ask: If you are AFK/BRB on chat, please put [AFK/BRB] in your name or leave chat as it confuses the leaders on who should be online.
Also, listen to the leaders when they ask you to get online! Sometimes if it is a ‘ulead’ you will have a chance to lead yourself, as long as you are listening to the leaders and finding out what is going on.
3. Hacking
ACP, and the army community have been receiving a lot of threats recently about Hacking. I must ask you not to worry! There are simple rules you must follow in order to keep yourself, and other armies intact.
- Don’t click any emails that you think are suspicious, or if they are from people you don’t know.
- Don’t enter your details on ANY site that you don’t think is the proper one. Check the URL (Web Address) to make sure you are on the correct site, as in make sure it is XAT.COM/LOGIN not a sneaky site called XAT.CO/LOGIN.
- Don’t download anything suspicious, or anything that has been PC’ed to you, this also applies to pictures.
- Don’t believe any emails about sites asking for your password/username, they will always be a fake.
- A Important Tip: Dont go to any sites XAT has blocked! They are probably unsafe or will dox you
Those are a few way to protect you and your site.
