Fun Post: Governments!

Shab: I will make the bills into a separate post. I need to get the approval from Flipper & Ken for you guys to vote on one of the bills.

If you see the word “government” in the title of a post, you think it is going to be boring, right? This time, it will not be! I made up the idea for this special post a few minutes ago (to the time this was posted). Now, I will explain how this is going to be fun…

I am asking you, the soldiers, to vote on some things involving our government. Shaboomboom might also post two things for you to vote on as well, but mine is just one single thing. I want you to fill out a form saying which government style we normally use. It can also be more than one. This can involve our leadership, election style, and the nation altogether. You can look at the Nation page for reference, which is one of the tabs on the right. Here is the form you can fill out:

Username:

Please take your time to fill out this form and comment below. The reasons MUST be appropriate.

Thank you,

    3. Those are the 2 main ones and we should run by that. If this doesn’t make sense. I’m sorry if it does. But I think we should run by that. Like merge Democratic and Republican together!

Those aren’t types of governments, those are two American parties xD

A democracy is a type of government… and a republic is a type of government, however.

    2. Autocratic Oligarchy

    3. The ACP used to run on pure autocracy, which is basically another word for dictatorship. This system was effective because the army as a whole could immediately take a stance without resistance (as no one would argue with the autocrat’s [dictator’s] decision).

But towards the end of my leadership and especially in the years following the ACP became more of an oligarchy, which is when a select few people ruled the army. The main leader would rule, but couldn’t make any major decision without the approval of the 2ics, 3ics, and retired leaders.

Now I believe it is time the ACP merged the two forms of government. One supreme autocrat would control the ACP and its government (not me or Shab, mind you), and the array of retired leaders and 2/3ics would be able to object only if there was serious reason to doubt the autocrat’s decision. That way the ACP can make quick and decisive moves but the leader will still be kept from potentially destroying the army by the oligarchy portion of the government.

I agree. We shouldn’t be letting the “civilians,” you could say, decide our entire government style. I don’t want to be rude, but the older legends and current leaders know best, not the corporals.

Come now, let us reason together.

Your above comment shows fallicious logic. Why should ACP soldiers vote on which government system they are using when it says the current one on the Nation page? That’s like asking someone, “What color is this red brick?” If the person says, “Red,” then they are correct, because the interrogator already said it was red. If the person says, “Blue,” then they are wrong, because the interrogator said it was a red brick.

A vote involves an individual formally expressing a choice or opinion on what SHOULD happen pertaining to the premise of a topic. Anything outside of this guideline is not a true vote but is instead coercion.

You might as well call this “fun vote” a reinforcement of established beliefs that are/aren’t held by ACP servicemen.

Most people still think ACP a democracy when it is really an oligarchy, what Oagal said and a dictatorship. A mix of that.

Come now, let us reason together.

Simply say what ACP’s government officially is according to the Nation page, then everyone will know what government ACP is organized under while allowing ACP soldiers to agree or disagree.

This isn’t a difficult concept to grasp.

Reason(s): It made USA the greatest country on the planet. But, this is also an army, and Democracy is (usually) limited when it comes to military. For example, during WWI the US passed the espionage and sedition acts to temporarily limit a civilian’s rights during WWI. (They couldn’t say anything bad about America, etc.)

No, this vote is on which government the ACP normally uses. This is just for fun.

      2. Omega39 Avatar
        Omega39

Come now, let us reason together.

It does not make any sense concerning ACP soldiers “voting” which government system ACP normally uses. The ACP brass are supposed to FOLLOW the specific guidelines for the current government system that was publised on the Nation page for a specific reason.

It is your fault that ACP soldiers are confused on how the DRACP works since you constantly withdraw from set parameters by manipulating the current system.

Also, why was ACP suddenly changed from an Oligarchical Republic to an Autocratic Oligarchy without being officially announced? Only two people voted for it: Oagalthorp and Kenneth1000. There were many votes concerning democracy/republic on this post.

This is what an Autocratic Oligarchy is: a system of government in which two or more people have uncontrolled, unlimited, and omnipotent authority over others. Do you know what this means?

        1. Little or no input from DRACP citizens and everyone else who are not an Oligarchical Leader.

        2. Only the Oligarchical Leaders make the decisions.

        3. Oligarchical Leaders dictate all social, political, and militaristic methods, processes, and procedures.

        4. DRACP citizens and everyone else who are not Oligarchical Leaders are rarely trusted with decisions, operations, communiations, and other important tasks.

If this is true, then stop calling it the Democratic Republic of the Army of Club Penguin (DRACP). You are no longer a Democratic Republic, so do not use it as a mask.

The citizens have a say in what decisions should be enforced. It’ll just lead to the French Revolution all over again if we don’t have a say, like it almost did when Shab had his “The Leaders” post.

Shab’s post was genius. It explained how ACP really was. A dictatorship/oligarchy.

    Government(s): Communism!

Reason(s): What a better way for ACP to find reasons to declare war then saying this army is a facist army and should be liberated XD I mean with Communism you make up excuses for wars and keep the higher ups incharge well telling the soldiers that they do have a voice in ACP but not really 😀
