Hello ACP. This is an issue I have come across over and over.
Everytime there is an invasion, it comes down to ‘claiming rooms’. I really do not see how this could work for club penguin warfare. I do not know where this idea of going to a room and shouting ‘we claim it’ means you win the server. It was never used in old club penguin warfare but now it is has suddenly appeared.
I do think it is flawed and i do believe it is ruining CP armies. What has happened now, is that an army can now run around to any random room and claim the won without fighting the enemy. In theory, you could ask every soldier in the army to claim to own igloo and that would mean you would win?
Why cant club penguin wars and invasions actually be about fighting the enemy. I know the idea rooms came in because people believed it was a system to try and stop people argueing who won and define a new way on who won.
Claiming rooms has made it unfair too. An army could be big and quick and fantastic at tactics, An elite army. Yet the enemy could be made up of 2 people and only the 2 people army claimed rooms. Does that mean this 2 person army won?
We need CP warfare to be turned back into fighting the enemy and based on an army bieng able to push another army back or weaken the enemy. Thats just my theory.
I would like to ask other armies to comment what they think of the claiming system to also comment on here. If CPA would also want to make a post about this then that would be ok.

You only posted this because the Nachos made this rule.. :|. Anyways, it is a good rule because it allows other people to be envolved in the invasion, and gives it more or a purpouse than just standing around and fighting.

ik! claiming rooms just means u have troops requisitioned there it has nothing to do with the outcome
I agree, I have an idea, How about if you fight in a room and win, then you “claim” that room, you need to claim 3 rooms to win, but if you are in a room for FIVE minutes then you claim it, but the chances of an army not finding you for FIVE minutes are very slim, but it allows armys to claim rooms if the other army dosen’t show up.
I sorta liked the rule of claiming rooms but now armies like the IW are taking advantage of it too much. And armies should be focused on fighting the enemy and not a contest to see whoever claims the most rooms the fastest wins.
Sorry for double posting but I want to add somthing, lets say army A beat army B in the snowforts, Army A moved to the plaza. Then lets say that army A pushed them back to the snowforts and won in the snowforts, then armys A capture would be gone, this allows other armys that are loosing in the beggining to win in the end.
I agree with Motor, and disagree with Pie. I know Motor and I know he doesn’t get involved with that sort of stuff, Motor will be honest with you when he does or doesn’t like something. He is, in fact, intelligent enough to have his own ideas and his head does not simply consist of “LOLOLOL NACHOZ SUX LOLOLOL.”
As to agreeing with Motor – wars have become more about running away from the enemy and less about chasing them. The “claiming rooms” idea has it’s advantages and disadvantages, and I think if army leaders put their heads together they can think something up (I actually strongly suggest this.)

Claiming rooms is flawed, you could claim, say, the dojo, iceberg and beach and all the other ignored rooms. Then can you say that you won while the larger army runs around trying to find you?
A good example of the disadvantages of the claiming rooms idea was a recent battle/pb with IW. I was there, and they just teleported from room to room the entire time. It wasn’t even fun.

The room claiming system does indeed have several flaws. As the person two comments above me said, it should be where Army A (the invading army) pushes Army D (the defending army) to either the cove, mountain, or beacon.
Anyways, this rule will stand, as ACP did agree to it, so /facepalm.
Matre: If all armies agreed to add it, why can’t all armies agree to take it off? It’s just a post to think a bit to make CP Warfare better.
The rule is stupid. Lets get rid of it. Now.

Speaking in part of NW: It’s clear that you only made this rule so that it could benefit ACP, considering that it was made after IW had claimed to win on the basis that they had taken more rooms. You know well that no army can face a giant of this magnitude, toe to toe, and win. The ‘claiming rooms’ system prevents this from being a possibility. If we allow this to happen, sure it might also prevent an army from going around claiming rooms from under one’s nose, but it would also allow ACP to become nearly invincible.
I’m sure that it will help any Army.

In response to Mchappy’s short reply: It would, but it wouldn’t make it any fairer. Both have it’s flaws, but at least the claiming rooms system won’t allow one army (ACP) to dominate. And the fact that you’re addressing this as a problem only furthers the idea that you fear the current system, because it’s one that would allow an army like ACP to lose.
No one is forced to like this idea. ACP is just giving our suggestion; There might be a few flaws in there and I’m sure over time we will be able to fix them. But if we took two similair Armies like TG and NW it would be awesome if they just both fought each other instead of TG going around claiming rooms and hiding from NW. Get what I mean?

I think the idea is half good and half bad the reason its half good is because that sometimes random army n00bs try to claim servers from other people without them even being on.. the reason i think its half bad is because not everyone would really get use to it and they would just do the old thing. Lets just say the n00bs probably would basically ignore the new rule and keep claiming servers and think they win but when we have to tell them about the new rule they might become disappointed so..
I think that the invading army (A) is there, the battle should be in three rooms at a time and when all the room have been won or held whoever took the most rooms will take the server.
I think claiming rooms is good but some armies just skip the battle and hide and just claim rooms without fighting I think they need to just fight in the snow forts 1 on 1 not just hide and seek.
And any room they choose to fight in this use to happen just fight in 1 room but now this claiming rooms is just getting annoying (Ice Warriors) xP just saying they abuse it the most.
But also its important to claim rooms but stop hiding and fight if you fight while trying to claim then maybe you won but if your tactics fail you lost it

I kind of agree with this post, but I still think that if an army want to make a room for their army only, it’s their choice and the leader of that army can choose what they want to do. This may sound a little rude, but I don’t mean any offence. I also wanted to know why you are banning people who go on Fjord? Club Penguin is not controlled and we don’t have to do what you say, as you are strangers we have met over the internet.

The 5 room invasion rule thing.
Your idea is what I call a Rail system. An army picks a path of 5rooms and sticks with it. No maps. For Example, army starts in cove, then goes to the Forest, plaza, snowforts, and town. The only flaw would be a 6 man army not giving up in the cove, so the invaders could’nt have a way of easily “pushing them back”.

I only think you posted this because your army is big enough to win a fight against god. The rules are not “No claiming rooms unless it doesn’t make ACP lose”.
Any Army could use this easily. We did not make this to make sure ACP would always win! I’m sure if this goes through many, many updated versions will follow. But, see how only IW is disagreeing?

I think we need a solution to a different problem. The problem is, there’s such a gap between ACP and the second biggest army. We have no one to fight and we always win. All other armies hate us. This is why I quit (past tense) ACP. This isn’t fun anymore.
If we ever do have a huge gap between 2nd Army (Example: 15 – IW; 120 – ACP) we could to little fun things and act like a CP Fan group 😀
