The Most Successful Senate Meeting Ever

Nono: Yes, Shabbit. It means that I can come on to chat and call you a cruel tyrant if you give me reason to and you can’t do anything about it. However, it does NOT mean that a random n00b can come on and say “XOMGZ U SUX I HATEZ JU SO MUCHZ!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111!”

Well, I think that you can tell from the title that we got a LOT done!

First, we voted on some new senators! One spot is still left open. Although, congrats to our new FOUR SENATORS! They are…

Here are some other things that we got done.

Our 3ic, Dr. Nono Jr. presented a Bill on free speech act, regarding rules around: http://drnonojr.wordpress.com/2009/06/25/the-free-speech-act/

This Bill was passed unanimously.

It read the following;

  • No type of punishment shall be administered for criticism, unless the criticism includes offensive language or sexist, racist, or ethnicist content or is a spam message.
  • The “no being ’smart’ to the mods” rule will be removed from the chat rules. However, if this “smartness” is displayed arbitrarily to just infuriate the mod, this falls under the catagory of spam and will be punished as such.
  • This bill applies to both owners and mods.
  • Any violations of this bill can be reported to an owner (unless an owner committed the violation, in which case they shall be reported to a main owner, or a main owner committed this violation, in which case the senate will decide on their punishment through a vote) for punishment to be administered.
Batin presented a  bill regarding having a page devoted to Congress activities, e.g Who the Congress people are, what there ranks are, etc. This was also passed unanimously.
Wow, after all of this, we just solved some of the issues we have had for a long time and some small issues that need fixing. This has been the most successful senate meeting ever! Thank you to the following who showed up;

    that is a pretty good bill. as we all know, the 1st amendment to the united states constitution does not always give protection to your freedom of speech. there are many cases where you could be in trouble for what you say.
