BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Upon his return to the Army of CP earlier this week, editors Max and Sophie sat down with creator Oagalthorp in an exclusive tell-all interview.

The Army of CP community was ecstatic to welcome home their creator, Oagalthorp, this past week. He returned to the ACP Discord for the third time in this CPPS era, and connected with many of the current soldiers and staff. Shamrock Bulletin editors Sophie and Max managed to grab an exclusive interview with him in direct messages, to get his take on the current day ACP operations as well as some insight on past history.

Hey Oagal! Thanks for agreeing to this interview! First up, we have to know: do you ever sneak a look at the ACP website to keep tabs on your creation?

I hadn’t in years. I think this is the second time (the last few days) that I’d ever visited the Discord.

What are your thoughts on the current ACP community?

I’m in the dark. It’s a totally new environment to me. I’ve heard numbers are up since COVID. I’m just glad the community is still alive and well.

What is one thing you took away from your time in the ACP?

The one thing I took away is the connections I made with people–mostly the old ACP leadership, and occasionally with rivals. The people that hated me most (Person, Akabob) came around once I was no longer a rival. I learned a lot about myself. I learned that I have a knack for communication, organizing, and leadership. I’ve carried that with me.

Who is your favourite ever ACP leader and why?

Boomer is the leader I became closest with. I used to be very authoritarian and a micromanager. Boomer could deal with that better than most. Shab and I used to butt heads, but he’s a good friend, relatively speaking. Boomer is charismatic, humble, compassionate, and intelligent. That’s why he was able to do what he did.

Do you mind if we ask a couple casual questions as a form of get to know the creator? Tell us about your favorite song right now, book, food, and any hobbies you might have!

Song: tough to say. It changes by the day. Today, I’m torn by Bankrupt on Selling by Modest Mouse and Outside by Blueface Book: I’m reading “…and forgive them their debts” by Michael Hudson. It’s about Mesopotamian and later Western economics Food: it’s been lobster for a hot minute Hobbies: learning, first and foremost. I like to understand the world and how it works – that extends into politics, economics, psychology, the supernatural, etc. I do a lot of reading and searching. Also art.

Who would you put down as the ACP’s biggest enemy?

Historically, the Nachos are the army that was best able to challenge ACP hegemony, so I’m going to give them the nod. After that, for me personally, comes the UMA. That’s only because I’m nostalgic for our WWIII.

Do you have any regrets about your time in CP armies?

I have no regrets. My friends and I were able to do great things, and if we had done them differently we wouldn’t have the community we have today. I took my role very seriously, and ran the ACP as a dictator, essentially. That made me a lot of enemies, and made the ACP the defacto “bad guy.” But we knew what we were doing was right. We always kept the most civil discourse, had the most loyal soldiers, and won more wars and battles than any other army.

Just one last quick question, how much money would it cost for you to attend an event?

I don’t think I’ll be attending any events lol!
